In the sixth act of the 2026 season, Corrode and Bind will return to the competitive map pool in VALORANT, replacing Ascent and Split. This change was reported by insider valohabercisi on their X account.
How long Ascent and Split have been in rotation
Ascent returned to ranked matches on April 28 with the release of update 12.08, replacing Bind. As of October 8, the map has been in the active pool for five months and ten days. The upcoming rotation will effectively reverse the April replacement: Bind will return, and Ascent will once again leave ranked matches.
Split has remained in rotation for nearly a year — it was added alongside Pearl in update 11.08 on October 14, 2025. At that time, Lotus and Ascent were removed from the pool. Therefore, by the time of the leak, the current period of Split in ranked matches was just six days short of a full year.

How long Corrode and Bind have been absent
Corrode was removed from the competitive pool on March 17 in update 12.05. It left the rotation along with Abyss, and their places were taken by Lotus and Fracture. As of October 8, Corrode's absence amounts to six months and 21 days — by the time of its expected return, this break will be even longer.
Bind has been absent since April 28, when it was replaced by Ascent. By the time of the leak's publication, the map had been out of the ranked pool for five months and ten days. Thus, both returning maps have missed several acts of the current season.
The upcoming rotation will conclude nearly a year-long period of Split in the ranked map pool, while Ascent will take a break after its spring return. For fans of Corrode and Bind, the new act will be the first chance in several months to play these maps in ranked matches again.
