Updates in the Next 2025-26 Season of Tournaments by YaLLa Esports

YaLLa Compass, one of the most promising esports tournaments in the MENA region, is preparing for significant changes in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Participants and viewers can expect exciting innovations that will solidify the event's status as one of the key happenings on the global esports stage.

The significance of these changes is highlighted by a statement from Teemu Koski, CGO of YaLLa Esports, who noted: "We do everything possible to create a sustainable ecosystem for global esports. Focusing on a smaller number of teams allows for a high level of investment and creates better conditions for all participants."

Successful Start and Path to Perfection

Since its debut in 2024, YaLLa Compass has become a symbol of growth and ambition in the region. The tournament has not only attracted the attention of the global esports community but also become a platform for identifying new talents. Inspired by the success of the first season, the organizers continue to improve the format and conditions for participants.

Key features of YaLLa Compass include an emphasis on professionalism and care for the teams: flights, accommodation, and high-quality training conditions are provided. These aspects make the tournament attractive to leading teams from around the world.

Details of the Updated Format and Prize Pool

In 2025, the main event format will remain unchanged: 12 teams, a two-group stage with a Round Robin system, and Single-Elimination playoffs. The top three teams from each group proceed to the next stage, with group winners advancing directly to the semifinals. Playoff matches, including the final, are held in Bo3 format, while the final is in Bo5 format.

The qualifying stages include open and closed tournaments in Qatar and the UAE. Online qualifiers will be conducted in several phases: the first will begin on July 29, 2024, and the final closed qualifiers will conclude in October 2025. These phases will not only determine the strongest teams but also give new talents a chance to showcase themselves on the regional and global stage. Direct invitations based on VRS ratings ensure the participation of top teams.

The main event of the season will take place in three key locations in the MENA region: Qatar, the UAE, and another location to be announced later. This geographical scope highlights the strategic importance of the tournament and its role in promoting esports in the region.

The prize pool for each tournament will be $750,000, with $600,000 allocated for the main event. The main stage winners will receive $300,000, one of the largest prizes in the region. An additional $150,000 will be distributed among the open and closed qualification stages, making the tournament appealing not just to participants but also to sponsors and spectators.
