The Ukraine national team, represented by the kONO.ECF team, started their journey in the Eastern European qualification for the IESF World Championship 2024.
In the first match they faced the national team of Turkey, for which are such name players as: imoRR, xfl0ud, jottAAA and other players, in the match against Turkey Team Ukraine was defeated with a score of 8-13 on the map Vertigo. As it became known during the match the game of the National Team of Ukraine was watched by the CEO of the organization Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Ukraine's next match is against Albania today, where they need to win to have a chance of making the playoffs and securing a coveted slot in the IESF World Championship 2024. The Ukraine national team plays in Group A, which also features teams from Turkey, Albania, Armenia and Greece. They will play Greece and Armenia on July 7
Last year Ukraine reached the quarterfinals of the IESF World Esports Championship 2023, where it was supposed to play Serbia, but withdrew from the tournament due to the removal of the lockout of Russians in future tournaments under the auspices of the federation.
From the Eastern European qualification to the IESF World Championship 2024 will be 5 teams. At the tournament itself, 24 teams from different regions of the world will take part and will play for $240,000.
