Last night, Valve released an update that added player stickers and team stickers for the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. Team Liquid captain Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken expressed negative opinions about some of the player stickers.
Twistzz's Reaction
Over 12 hours later, Russell wrote the following on his page:
I don't know how some of these stickers got approved. I understand that some players want to have fun, but I don't understand how Valve/Perfect World allow autographs that don't even have the player's name or resemble it, since the point is that they should be genuine, like autographs on mousepads/paper.
He also added that he doesn't blame the players and is happy for everyone who got stickers. He only reproaches Valve for making the process stricter and then suddenly stopped caring about it.
dexter's Comment
Under Twistzz's post, dexter jokingly commented about his sticker with the inscription "SEX":
I've already written the word SEX on at least 200 mousepads.
To which the Liquid captain replied that if he engages in sex regularly, there are no complaints from his side +rep.
Community Reaction
The community's opinion in the comments under Twistzz's post is mostly unanimous, as everyone supported his statement and believes that such stickers should not be approved.
This is cringe, look, I changed my name to an obscene word, ha-ha, so funny.
Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will start on November 30 in Shanghai, China. The prize pool will be $1,250,000, and 24 teams will compete for the main trophy. You can follow the tournament here.
