CS2 players who use the NVIDIA GeForce Now (GFN) cloud service have encountered an unexpected problem: getting banned for “suspicious play.” One of the subscribers shared his experience, noting that he had been banned several times while playing games through this service.
CS2 and unwanted locks
Counter-Strike 2, one of the most popular shooter games, is now being actively tested by users through GFN. However, some players are facing the problem of automatic blocking for “suspicious activity”. As it turned out, these bans are related to NVIDIA's service and not to the actions of the players themselves.
Why is the problem occurring?
NVIDIA GeForce Now allows you to play games via the cloud without installing them on local hardware. However, the cheat protection system in CS2 may perceive this connection method as risky. Although users do not use any third-party programs, Valve's security system may mistakenly detect suspicious activity, which leads to account bans.
How to avoid blocking?
Unfortunately, there is no way to appeal such blocking. Valve is aware of the situation, but there is no solution to the problem yet. The only way out for players is to wait for the ban to expire. If you are using GFN to play CS2, you should be prepared for such surprises.
