The new Premier season for CS2 will start next week

Valve officially announced the start of the second season of the Premier mode, which will begin next week. Players will bid farewell to the first season and face new challenges and changes. There is good news for those who earned a CS Rating in the first season.

Such players will receive a medal for participating in the first season of Premier, including detailed season statistics. By clicking on the medal in the inventory, you can see CSR graphs, playtime, and map statistics to better prepare for the new season.

Before the start of the second season, there will be a one-day break to recalculate the rating based on the achievements of the first season. To establish your rating in the new season, you'll need to win 10 calibration matches, making each game particularly important.

The second season will bring changes to refresh the gameplay. Specifically, Vertigo is being removed from the Premier map pool and replaced with Train. Weapon prices and characteristics have also been updated:

  • M4A4: The weapon cost will be $2900, the same as the M4A1-S.
  • FAMAS: Improved accuracy while standing and crouching, and reduced price.

The second season of Premier mode will conclude after the BLAST Austin Major 2025. Eligible players will receive a medal for participating in the second season of Premier. The color of the medal will correspond to the highest CS Rating for the season, and stripes on the medal will reflect the total number of wins: one stripe for every 25 matches, with a maximum of five stripes.

To receive the medal, you need to:

  • Have an account in good standing.
  • Win 25 matches in Premier mode.
  • Have an active CS Rating at the end of the season.

Valve has not yet disclosed what exactly is meant by a "good standing account," but it will most likely be an account with premium.
