The Mongolz will miss Bounty Spring 2025

Just days remain before the start of the year's first major tournament, BLAST Bounty. However, it has become known prior to the start that The Mongolz will miss the tournament for unknown reasons and will be replaced by Metizport with a new lineup.

The Mongolz will miss BLAST Bounty

Four days before the start, BLAST announced that The Mongolz will miss Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier for unknown reasons. Their spot in the tournament has been taken by Metizport, and Fnatic and BetBoom will also debut in the tournament with new lineups.

Teams and Rewards

32 teams have been distributed according to the global Valve ratings as of December 2, 2024. The top seeds — G2, NAVI, Vitality, and Spirit — start with the largest rewards of $60,000. Teams seeded 17th to 32nd do not receive an initial reward but get to choose their opponents first.

For example, if ENCE defeats NAVI, the team will receive $30,000 for the victory, and an additional $30,000 will be added to their Bounty sum.

How does the draw work?

Teams seeded 17th to 32nd are the first to select their opponents from the top 16. BIG, as the leader of the second half (17th place), begins the selection. The first draw will take place tomorrow, January 11, at 11:00 CET and will determine the participant pairs for the 1/16 finals stage.
