The former NIP coach has thought about changes in the Astralis lineup

Astralis disappointing results in the ESL Pro League have sparked lively discussions among fans and analysts. Two consecutive defeats to fnatic and Complexity led to a discussion of possible lineup replacements. Former NIP coach Pita on platform X offered his version of a revamped roster that could bring the team back to the top.

According to Pita, the team should have HooXi and Zyphon instead of br0 and Staehr. This, he believes, will strengthen the team and allow Astralis players to better reach their potential at tournaments.

Astralis' failures and mounting pressure

Astralis started their ESL Pro League journey with two unexpected defeats, losing to fnatic and Complexity. These teams, ranked lower in the world rankings, were an unpleasant surprise for Astralis fans and management. Criticism of the roster and coaching staff began to mount, sparking discussions about the need for change.

Amidst these setbacks, former coach Pita proposed his concept of revamping the team based on the roles of HooXi and Zyphon. In his opinion, such a replacement could improve both the offensive and defensive sides of the game.

Specific suggestions from Pita

Pita believes that bringing in HooXi and Zyphon to replace br0 and Staehr could lead to improved results for Astralis. In particular, HooXi, currently sitting on the bench in G2, would take on the role of captain, allowing for a better distribution of roles in the team.

The proposed five from Pita looks like this:

  • Device - the main star and AWP player of the team.
  • jabbi - as lurker.
  • Zyphon - semi-lurk.
  • HooXi - IGL and main space creator for key players - stavn and device.
  • Stavn is one of the key players with firepower.

According to Pita, this role distribution is ideal to optimally utilize each player's potential. For example, on the Mirage map, jabbi would be the anchor on point A, HooXi would occupy B, and device would play in the center of the map, allowing the best Astralis players to prove themselves.
