The DRX team has strengthened its roster with a player from its academy team Athan

On November 1, the South Korean esports organization DRX announced the addition of Athan, formerly known as Leviathan, to its Valorant roster. Athan had already competed for DRX academy team in the recent TEN Valorant Asia Invitational tournament, but he is now officially part of the main lineup.

Athan began his esports career in 2022, playing for amateur teams like TEAM INDIGO and KIDZONE, where he gained experience with notable players. In July 2023, he joined DRX's academy division, DRX Prospects, where he continued to refine his skills. In the recent TEN Valorant Asia Invitational, he delivered consistent performances on agents KAY/O and Breach, helping DRX secure victories over teams like FunPlus Phoenix and Gen.G. Despite two losses to Talon Esports, Athan showed confidence and adaptability on the field, which caught the attention of DRX's main roster.

The addition of the young and promising Athan, who has previously ranked highly on Asian leaderboards, could impact the team’s strategy and gameplay. DRX is preparing for two upcoming offseason tournaments: the VALORANT Radiant Asia Invitational and the SOOP VALORANT LEAGUE.
