Valve has once again delighted Counter-Strike 2 players with a major update. The game now features three new weapon collections, updated Inferno and Train maps, and an expanded Armory selection. One of the most notable changes is the expansion of Banana on Inferno, which could significantly impact game balance.
Weekly drops are now even more exciting: the Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant collections offer over 70 unique skins, including camouflages, gold ornaments, and unconventional designs. Additionally, the old Bank, Italy, Lake, and original Train collections have been removed from the weekly skin rotation.

Global Map Overhaul
The spring update also affected popular maps. Inferno and Train received visual improvements and gameplay adjustments. On Inferno, developers expanded Banana to the size of the CS:GO version, making it more challenging for CTs to control, especially after the recent nerf to Molotov cocktails. Additionally, the pixel shot through Coffin was removed, steps at Arch were eliminated, and backgrounds in several positions were simplified to improve visibility.
Train also underwent significant changes. The background in the Z area and the entrance to upper B was simplified, the upper roof on A-site was shortened to facilitate grenade use. Grills on Ivy and the exterior of Z were replaced with denser textures to prevent unwanted wallbangs. These changes aim to make the map more player-friendly.

New Items in Armory
Valve introduced a new Fever case, featuring 17 fresh community-created skins and Shattered Web knives in chrome variants. The Train collection now reflects the modern style of the map, including graffiti and architectural references.

Also introduced is the XM1014 | Solitude—a limited edition shotgun with a unique mountain pattern, available in multiple color variations. Previously, the limited skin was Desert Eagle | Heat Treated.

The spring update for CS2 not only expands cosmetic content but also brings critical changes to map balance. It's particularly intriguing to see how the changes on Inferno will affect the meta: the enlarged Banana gives terrorists more freedom, but CT teams might seek new defensive strategies. The revamped Train makes gameplay clearer and more accessible for both sides.
