The biggest update in FACEIT's historyThe esports platform FACEIT has released a major update that aims to improve the Counter-Strike 2 experience for all users and make FACEIT more competitive.
The first season will feature the largest prize pool ever awarded under the public matchmaking system - $100,000 for the best players of the Challenger rank.
Here is a list of all the major changes:
- Several new tightening of rules against smurfs
- FACEIT Anti-Cheat is now mandatory for installation
- ID verification is available from the age of 13
- Ability to choose 1 of 4 servers for ping optimization
- Now you do not need to have Premium to get into FPL-C and FPL
- Added the "Challenger" title for the top 1000 players in each region
- Added penalties to the received ELO in unbalanced teams (3 LVL + 10 LVL for example)
- Added a new Super Match v1.0 mode, where you can play without new accounts, full stacks and a big difference in ELO
This decision can be assessed as the platform's response to the launch of Valve's Premier Mode in Counter-Strike 2. This innovation should retain players who want to play more professionally rather than for fun.
It adds a system of peaks and bans for maps in the current map pool. Along with this, a new accurate rating was introduced, which will be displayed in the leaderboard.
