The VAC system blocked the account of the best player in the Premier mode of Counter Strike 2, known under the nickname greatest cheat. The wave of bans affected no less than three hundred accounts. It is currently unclear whether the punishments for using prohibited programs have been completed.

Since January 4th, gamers have been reporting account blocks in CS2 for using cheats. Among the banned was greatest cheat, who was leading the Premier mode ranking at the time of the block.

The last case of mass VAC bans was recorded at the beginning of December 2023. Then, the general manager of G2 and many players who began competing in who would receive an unfair punishment from Valve faster than others were affected.
