Rene “TeSeS” Madsen, one of the key players of the Heroic team, published an official statement on his social media page after the incident during the match between Heroic and NiP at ESL Pro League S20. The match became the subject of hot discussions due to the use of the banned Snap Tap macro by TeSeS, which led to Heroic's technical defeat on the first map.
What is Snap Tap and why is it important?
Snap Tap is a macro that allows a player to react faster to certain actions in the game by automating certain keyboard shortcuts. Valve has banned the use of such macros because of their ability to give players an unfair advantage. ESL also supports this ban in its tournaments. Consequences for the tournament
According to the ESL rules, the violation of the rules resulted in NiP gaining a technical victory on the first map, and the score before moving to the next map was 1-0 in favor of NiP.
