G2 Esports has announced that Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač will not be able to play in the opening matches of PGL Astana 2025 due to visa issues. Instead, the 38-year-old Polish coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas will replace the player at least in the first games.
The history of substitutions: TaZ helps out again
This is not the first time TaZ has saved G2 in a similar situation. In 2024, at the BLAST Premier Spring Final, he replaced m0NESY, who also faced visa restrictions. For G2, the tournament in Astana will be the first after a pause: the team did not participate in IEM Melbourne and BLAST Rivals, having last played at PGL Bucharest a month ago.
