The Portuguese organization SAW announced the extension of the contract with 22-year-old João "story" Vieira. The sniper will remain with the team until December 31, 2027. This decision strengthens SAW's trust in their sniper, who continues to deliver stable and powerful results. 

Story's Stay with SAW

story joined the team in July 2022, marking his second stint with the team. His first stint was from September 2021 to January 2022. The reasons for his departure at that time are unknown, but since joining in July 2022, he has successfully competed for the team, showcasing confident performances.

Story's Statistics

During his time at SAW, his statistics have been fluctuating but good. In 2022, his statistics were 6.1. However, in the following year, they increased to 6.3, which is not extensive but good. In the past three months, his statistics changed again and dropped to 6.2.

SAW's Results

In 2024, SAW's results were simply incredible, as the team managed to reach the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2024, even defeating FaZe. Besides this, they managed to win the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, which took place before the start of the RMR. However, at the RMR, the team performed poorly, finishing in the 9-11 place.

Currently, all teams are in the off-season, and SAW is among them. Therefore, signing Story is a logical step to ensure the player does not leave but continues to develop and play in this lineup.
