Snax expresses optimism and highlights challenges in CS2

Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, a well-known player from the GamerLegion team, shared his views on the current state and development of the team during a recent interview at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023. After his transfer from Pompa, where he replaced Sanzhar "neaLaN" Ishakov as captain, Snax noted that the team has started to play more aggressively, and he himself has become more effective in individual gameplay.

The GamerLegion team, which has shown stable results, finishing 7-8th at IEM Sydney 2023, 5-6th at ESL Challenger Jönköping 2023 and Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, continues to adapt to the challenges associated with CS2. Snax mentioned that although they have only played in six LAN tournaments in the new season, the team is moving in the right direction and developing.

He acknowledged that despite the lack of significant training time, the team is striving to solve problems and correct mistakes made during matches. Snax also spoke about the difficulties of preparing for six or seven maps, especially in the context of changes in CS2.

I think it’s getting better; obviously, we don’t have that much practice time, we have a lot of tournaments. After Sydney, I think it was one week, maybe 10 days, of a break, so we haven't had that much practice. I understand that in tier one we mostly have to travel, so it’s hard to fix stuff. It’s still not the best [my calling], it could be better in terms of how we are playing, but it’s just a matter of time before we fix every problem and we solve the errors we are making in matches. Then it’s going to be so much easier for me. Obviously, it’s hard to prepare for six or seven maps, especially when it comes to CS2 being now. Inferno is a little bit different, some of the maps are the same. The changes to smokes are also making you think a little bit differently compared to CS:GO.
I think we are going in the right direction, and I hope it’s going to pop soon and we will play better.
Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski

GamerLegion is focused on further successes at upcoming tournaments, in particular at BetBoom Dacha 2023 and ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023, where the team will have the opportunity to demonstrate their improvements and development. Snax expressed hope that their efforts will soon bring even better results and game performance.
