Skyesports Championship 2024 will increase the prize pool and the number of teams due to the sale of media rights

Skyesports CEO and Founder, Shiva Nandi, announced on Instagram significant updates to the upcoming LAN event Skyesports Championship 2024. Thanks to new media deals, the championship's prize pool, which was originally $200,000, will be increased. Nandi also announced that Skyesports has sold the rights to cover the event to media companies from Russia, Poland, Mongolia and Portugal.

The deal with international media companies was made for global expansion and regional promotion, Nandi emphasized. He also said that they plan to sell media rights to at least 12 countries by 2025.

No word yet on how many teams will be added to the original eight, or who exactly will be joining the competition. Confirmed participants include teams such as TheMongolz, FURIA, Eternal Fire, BetBoom, 3DMAX, Aurora, Revenant and True Rippers, who will be in Mumbai to battle it out for the prize pool.

Skyesports Championship 2024 will be held from July 23 to 28 in Mumbai. The increase in prize money and the expansion of the list of teams make it a more interesting event that will be worth watching right after the Esports World Cup.
