According to Dust2.us, M80 selected Mason "Lake" Sanderson as their fifth player for the Esports World Cup. However, his status on the team, whether as a reserve, tryout or regular player, has not yet been specified. All that is known is that his name has been registered as a replacement for malbsMd for the duration of the competition in Saudi Arabia which starts in two weeks time.
M80 lineup for Esports World Cup 2024:
Prior to that, Lake played most of 2024 for Carpe Diem. It was during this time that he became visible to many NA CS viewers due to his dominant style of play. Since joining Carpe Diem in January, he has posted a 6.3 rating.
The move to M80 will be a major challenge for Lake, as the 19-year-old has only played for Unjustified and Snakes Den before Carpe Diem. It is still unknown whether he will become a permanent player of M80, but his abilities will be tested on the stage in Riyadh.
