British journalist Richard Lewis said during his stream that Ukrainian tournament operator StarLadder may hold a second major in 2025. StarLadder has not been heard from for about 4.5 years, after the last StarSeries & i-League Season 8 tournament.
According to Richard Lewis the second major after Perfect World Shanghai may host StarLadder, but he doesn't believe it:
Copenhagen, Shanghai, and now Austin as well. And then, you know, there's a lot of rumors going around backstage about StarLadder getting a major this year, and I can't believe it's true. It's pretty wild that they're back and you're having a major right away. But behind the scenes everyone is saying that StarLadder will get a second major this year. So I don't know. He also said that according to rumors, they may hold it in late 2025, also known approximate dates of the event is December 1-14, but the venue is still unknown.
The last major organized by StarLadder was Berlin Major in 2019, which was remembered for its unique organization: players were in the center of the stadium in special booths. This tournament left many vivid memories.
With this news in mind, next year will be a busy year for StarLadder, they will hold three tournaments at once, and possibly more if more events are announced.
