Fnatic and Sangal secured their spots in the playoffs of the RES Regional Champions 2024 after a successful second day of play in Belgrade. Aurora and Solid completed their run, finishing in the last places.
Group A
Sangal were favorites in Group A due to their recent successes at CCT and their qualification for the RMR in Shanghai. The team struggled in their first match against Nemiga but convincingly defeated Fluxo on the second day, demonstrating their intentions.
Group B
Fnatic, despite difficulties, also managed to secure the top spot in their group. In the match against PARIVISION, they lost Mirage but managed to clinch victory on Vertigo and Ancient. Notably, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer stood out with an impressive score of 47-15 across the two maps.
Eliminated Teams
Aurora couldn't withstand the competition and exited the tournament after a tough battle with Nemiga. Solid also concluded their run, losing 0:2 to the team UNPAID.
The teams exited the tournament in 7th-8th place, gaining only experience from this tournament. While Solid wasn't seen as a favorite, Aurora was considered a team capable of providing stiff competition.
Upcoming Matches
In decisive encounters, Nemiga will face Fluxo, and UNPAID will meet PARIVISION. Matches are set to start at 13:00 UTC (15:00 CET) and 16:00 UTC (18:00 CET), respectively.
