The first day of the RES Regional Champions, a LAN tournament held in Belgrade, ended with mixed results for the teams. The tournament with a prize pool of $250,000 brought together strong teams from the region, and after the first matches, we can already assess the balance of power in each group.

Group A.

• Fluxo made a confident start in the tournament, defeating Aurora Gaming with a 2-1 score. The game turned out to be quite intense, but Fluxo demonstrated a strong play on their maps, which allowed them to secure a place in the top bracket final.
• Sangal Esports also showed their strength by defeating Nemiga Gaming with a score of 2-1. Nemiga, which has been showing unstable results in recent matches, was unable to keep the initiative in crucial moments. Therefore, Sangal got the opportunity to compete in the top grid final against Fluxo.
• Aurora Gaming and Nemiga Gaming, who are at the bottom of the table, will now play in the knockout matches to keep their chances of getting out of the group. Both teams have a clear motivation to correct their mistakes and stay in the competition.

Group B.

• Fnatic, one of the favorites of the tournament, left no chance for their rival UNPAID, beating them with a 2-0 score. Fnatic demonstrated a disciplined game, especially on their map, not allowing UNPAID to impose their strategy.
• PARIVISION, the other team to win Group B, was able to confidently overcome Team Solid with a 2-0 victory. This result allowed PARIVISION to secure a place in the top bracket final, where they will face Fnatic.
• UNPAID and Team Solid found themselves in a difficult situation, as they will now compete in an elimination match. A loss in this match will mean the end of their participation in the tournament.

The Importance of the Second Day Matches

The second day will be crucial for the teams in the lower bracket, as the losers will leave the tournament. And the winners of the upper brackets will have a direct opportunity to reach the playoffs and compete for the prize pool.
