headtr1ck: “I feel confident in B8, and I see that everyone respects me”

In a new interview with HLTV, Ukrainian B8 player Danylo “headtr1ck” Valytytov talked about his experience of playing against his former club Ninjas in Pyjamas, his impressions of the Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 tournament, and his adaptation to the new team.

Meeting with Ninjas in Pyjamas

The first LAN match for headtr1ck as a member of B8 took place against his former team - Ninjas in Pyjamas. Although there is only one player left in the Ninjas' lineup from Daniel's time with the club, Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, headtr1ck admitted that playing against his former club brought up some emotions. “It was a little weird when I accidentally connected to their TeamSpeak channel before the match, the admin even laughed at it,” the player admitted.

Strong start and technical difficulties

B8 managed to beat NIP in a tense game that went to overtime. However, the match against The MongolZ turned out to be more difficult, and the Ukrainian team lost in a two-map series. headtr1ck noted: “They are just better prepared now. It's a good impetus for us to wake up and start working better."

Return to LAN and plans for the future

Valitov spoke about the importance of LAN tournaments for the team: "This is a very important period for us, as we have three LAN tournaments in a row. This is a chance to earn more points and get more invitations next year." The player also emphasized the need to show stable results: “We need to do 10-20% better in everything from communication to individual play.”

Restoring confidence after NiP

After a difficult period in NiP, headtr1ck was able to find himself in B8: “It was hard after NiP, especially after we lost 0-3 at RMR. But I'm glad I was able to find a new home and feel confident again. It's important that everyone on the team and the coach respect me.”

Prospects and aspirations

At the end of the interview, Valytytov emphasized his desire to continue to progress: "I am very motivated to show what I can do. Even if these are online matches, they helped me to regain my confidence. I am happy to be a part of B8 and believe in our potential."
