The new lineup of RED Canids didn’t take long to make an impact, achieving their first success at the Copa BetBoom 2023, which had a prize pool of $40,000. In the finals of the tournament, the South American team managed to defeat BESTIA.

Copa BetBoom 2023 was the first full-fledged event for RED Canids in Counter-Strike 2. On October 16, the organization signed the former lineup of Paquetá, which finally took shape with the arrival of former 9z player David “dav1deuS” Tapia.

RED Canids dominated at Copa BetBoom 2023. The team lost only one match in the group stage, and that was due to a scheduling conflict with another tournament. Much more important is how the team performed in the playoffs: only two lost maps in four matches. As a result - first place and $18,000 in prize money earned.

The best player of both the team and the tournament was Wesley "hardzao" Lopes. The Brazilian received a 6.9 rating, dealt 89.83 ADR, and won five clutches. Indeed, Lucas “nqz” Soares had a higher rating, but his team couldn’t even make it out of the group, which deprived him of the chance for MVP.
