Rebels qualified for the Elisa Masters Espoo after winning the Fall Invitational

Polish team Rebels have secured their ticket to the prestigious Elisa Masters Espoo after an impressive performance at the Fall Invitational. Their triumphant performance in the group stage and their fight in the playoffs, which ended with a win over Danish team Sashi in the grand finals, makes them one of the favorites for the upcoming competition.

Rebels were able to show not only resilience but also dominant play in key moments of matches, especially against more experienced opponents. A 2-1 win over Sashi in the final showed that they are capable of more than what was expected of them, thus earning them a place among the top teams at Elisa Masters Espoo.

From invitation to victory

Rebels began their journey to the Fall Invitational with a direct invite along with seven other teams. These teams battled it out against those who made it through Fall Contenders qualification to qualify for the playoffs. Rebels made it through the Swiss system group stage with a 3-0 win, which allowed them to advance to the playoff stage, where their first opponent, the British team Into the Breach, awaited them. Despite struggling on the first map Vertigo, where they blew a 10-2 lead, Rebels managed to dominate Mirage and Ancient, securing their passage onwards.

The team was also instrumental in the playoffs, knocking out Johnny Speeds despite the participation of Hampus “hampus” Poser, who was making his debut in this tournament. By defeating Zero Tenacity in the semifinals, Rebels earned the right to face Sashi in the deciding match for a spot at Elisa Masters Espoo.

Battle in the finals and the eventual triumph

In the grand final against Sashi, who is coached by renowned Danish coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen, Rebels faced serious resistance. Sashi had already knocked out teams like TSM and OG and started the final with a convincing win on Nuke, leaving the Polish team in shock.

However, Paweł “innocent” Mocek and his team didn't give up - they came back on Vertigo with a 13:2 victory and then secured their victory on the decisive map Anubis with 13:8. This result secured Rebels' participation in the Finnish LAN tournament.

Conclusion

Rebels became the sixth team to participate at the Elisa Masters Espoo, which will be held from October 16 to 20 and will offer a prize pool of $200,000. In addition to them, The MongolZ, 9z, B8, ENCE and JANO will play the tournament, already making it one of the most anticipated events in October. The success at the Fall Invitational shows that Rebels are ready for new challenges, and their performance at Elisa Masters Espoo could be a key moment in the team's career.
