Rebels Gaming, an organization founded by football goalkeeper David de Gea, Juan Mata, and Bruno Fernandes, officially announced the signing of the PALOMA lineup. This move marks their entry into the Counter-Strike 2 scene and demonstrates the organization's growing interest in the world of esports.
The PALOMA team, formed by Polish players, gained recognition after winning the ESL Mistrzostwa Polski Autumn 2023, securing them a slot at IEM Katowice 2024 and ESL Pro League Season 19: European Conference. Despite accusations of cheating from some professional players, the team continues to perform, as their guilt has not been proven.
PALOMA joining Rebels Gaming highlights the organization's ambitions to expand on the international stage and be part of the growing popularity of CS2, similar to the Guild organization, which also entered CS2 with the Bad New Eagles lineup.
