PGL together with NVIDIA solved the bug that caused Jame to crash at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

More than 2 months have passed since the end of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and only now has PGL announced that they, together with NVIDIA, have managed to solve the problem that caused Ali “Jame” Djami to crash. This moment was decisive for them in the tournament, causing them to be eliminated.

During the match between Virtus Pro and G2 on the second map Inferno, with the score at 11-11, Jame experienced an NVIDIA driver error, causing his game to crash. This led to their defeat not only in the round but in the map and eventually the game. Consequently, they were eliminated from the tournament after losing this match.

Following the crash at the PGL CS2 Major in Copenhagen, we have been working closely with NVIDIA and Valve to resolve this issue. We are pleased to confirm that the problem has been fixed. We remain committed to providing the best gaming experience at tournaments with GeForce RTX graphics processors.

Had the error not occurred in that situation, the game could have unfolded differently, as VP could have won and advanced to the playoffs of the tournament. Then the bracket could have turned out differently, and NAVI might not have become champions. Interestingly, NVIDIA fixed the error faster than NAVI players received the gaming trophy in their inventory.
