The organizers of PGL Bucharest 2025 have announced the list of invited teams that got places at the tournament in Bucharest without qualifications. The event with a prize pool of $1,250,000 will take place from April 5 to 13, but without some of the top teams.
Previously, NAVI and Spirit had already ignored other tournaments from PGL this year. Now they have been joined by Vitality and MOUZ, creating a situation where four top teams will not be represented in Bucharest at once.
List of invited teams to PGL Bucharest 2025:
They will be joined by four more teams from regional qualifiers (Europe, North America, South America, and Asia).

Why did the top teams refuse?
NAVI, Spirit, Vitality, and MOUZ have not officially commented on the reasons for their refusal. However, at the beginning of the year, PGL faced criticism over the distribution of tournament profits. Some organizations were dissatisfied with the fact that PGL did not provide a share of revenue for clubs, which could have influenced their decision.
The changes in the prize distribution envisage a 50/50 split between players and organizations, but for some clubs, this was not a decisive argument to agree to participate in PGL Bucharest 2025.
Thus, the audience will not see the champions of PGL Cluj-Napoca - MOUZ, as well as the main favorites of the season - NAVI, Spirit and Vitality, which are in the top 5.
