Perfect World Showed How Players Created Their Autographs for Shanghai Major

Perfect World introduced a new vision for player autographs on in-game stickers for the upcoming tournament in Shanghai. In a video posted on their X-account, professional players are shown signing their autographs, which are then transferred into the game.

This step promises to make the sticker creation process more dynamic and interactive. Instead of lengthy discussions about autograph design, players are now given the opportunity to sign "on the fly," adding an effect of "live" interaction with fans.

New Autograph Creation System

Previously, professional players could ask for specific designs for their autograph stickers, which sometimes turned into a lengthy process. Now, as part of the Perfect World Shanghai Major, the format has changed: participants are given 5–10 seconds to write their signature. The main requirement is for it to appear natural, as if a fan had asked for a signature on a mouse pad.

Signatures are created in a minimalist style – no complex drawings, only clarity and recognizability.

What Does This Mean for Future Tournaments?

Perfect World's innovation highlights the company's drive to simplify and enhance the interaction between professional players and their audience. The format has already proven successful, so it's expected that it could become the standard for future esports events.
