PaiN, under the leadership of Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt, became CCT Season 2 South American Series #2 champions. This win was their second consecutive win from a tournament from the series.
This tournament was the 2nd tournament for them to win since the start of the season, which is a pretty good start. The tournament itself, they started with a playoff by direct invitation from the organizer. Aside from them, BESTIA, Fluxo, Legacy, MIBR, ODDIK, RED Canids and Sharks Esports received an invitation to the playoffs.
Tournament Details
The tournament started on April 15, and the playoffs started on July 30, where paiN managed to defeat Dusty Roots 2-0, who qualified for the playoffs from the main stage. Which they finished 3-2 in the Swiss system. In the quarterfinals they were met by Sharks Esports, with whom they had some problems on the first map and left not in their favor. But they took the second and third map without any problems.
In the semifinals they defeated Legacy 13-5 on both maps and in the finals they faced MIBR. With whom they had no problems, they won the first card with a score of 13-8, but the second card Vertigo, MIBR's choice, they closed with a sensational 13-0 in their favor.
Thanks to the win they managed to earn $10,000 as well as 150 CCT points, thanks to which they have the opportunity to qualify for the Global Finals. The details of which are still unknown, but the prize pool of the last one amounted to $500,000,.
The best player of the tournament was Lucas "lux" Meneghini, a paiN player who showed great play throughout the tournament. He finished the tournament with a 7.3 rating for 9 cards, which is an incredible result.

Upcoming tournaments
Their closest major tournament will be the Play-in stage at IEM Cologne 2024, where they will start against Liquid on August 7. The team is also likely to receive invitations to the RMR Closed Qualifiers, as they are ranked 5th in Valve's regional rankings.
