FaZe team's form started to deteriorate noticeably after their victory at IEM Chengdu and now they are facing serious challenges ahead of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. In an interview for Dust2.dk, team captain karrigan shared his opinion on the current situation and his plans for the future.
After a successful performance at IEM Chengdu, FaZe has not been able to achieve similar results. The team suffered a number of defeats at major LAN tournaments, including quarterfinal defeats four times in a row. Karrigan attributed this to player overload due to busy schedules and relocations, as well as increased competition among teams. He also noted that other teams have gotten stronger, which has affected FaZe's confidence.
Ahead of the team is the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, where they will face a revamped Cloud9 squad in their opening match. Karrigan said that FaZe has no particular expectations from this encounter, as they have not practiced against the new version of Cloud9 and have no idea about their style of play.
I don't have any expectations from the [Cloud9] team. I think they have only played one game, which is something to watch. So it will be very interesting to see how they play.Karrigan added
