ESL has announced invitations to ESL Challenger Atlanta, which will take place October 4-6, offering a $100,000 prize pool and a chance to earn an invitation to ESL Pro League Season 21. The event gathers the attention of spectators and teams due to its prestige and the opportunity to reach a higher level of the cybersports scene. FlyQuest, as the highest ranked ESL World Ranking team among the invitees, tops the list of participants, which adds extra intrigue. Along with FlyQuest, BetBoom and BIG teams, also in the top 30 of the ESL ranking, are ready to compete for prizes and prestige.

M80, a team that received an invite as Local Hero, is ranked third in the NA rankings by ESL. Recent changes to M80's lineup, such as Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa leaving for G2 and being replaced by Mason “Lake” Sanderson, add further intrigue. Lake, who proved himself at the Esports World Cup with a 5.1 rating for the entire tournament and a 6.2 overall rating out of the tournament, becomes a key player for the team. The remaining four spots will be determined by regional qualifiers in Europe, North America, South America and Oceania.
