OG signed a new captain to their CS2 roster after failing at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024

OG, after failing at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024, have made another lineup change. Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard, who previously played for MOUZ Academy, took the place of Thomas "Thomas" Utting.

Background and Details

This replacement was unexpected because the team already had Nils "k1to" Gruhne as captain, but as the organization announced on Twitter, Chr1zN will be the captain of the team. At 17 years old, this will be the second team he will captain.

For OG, this will be the second time they have signed a player from the MOUZ NXT roster. The first player was Bram "Nexius" Campana, who joined the team in December 2023 and has a 5.8 rating during his time with the team.

Details of the new lineup

The updated lineup will look as follows:

The coach of the team will be Lambert "Lambert" Prigent, who has been a player for 8 years, as well as two years of experience as a coach. During his time at OG, the team's best results were a 4th place finish at Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024 and a 3-4 place finish at BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024.

Chr1zN joined the team, at a tough time when the team has 9 consecutive losses and hasn't won in three and a half months. Chr1zN already had experience playing against top teams when he and s1rah played for HEROIC as substitutes for Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and Roobet Cup 2023.

Community and Player Reaction

After the announcement of the player's signing, reactions varied, but the majority of people were of the opinion that he made a big mistake and ruined his career. OG fans rejoiced at the signing of a new player and speculated that k1to could be the next to go.

I'm very grateful and happy to be a part of OG. Things are just starting for me and the guys, but I have high expectations and look forward to what we will be capable of.

If the team performs well at the tournament, they will get a spot at the RMR tournament, from where they can qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
