On November 19, 2023, the North American organization FaZe Clan announced on their official networks that Polish CS legend Filip NEO Kubski has successfully completed a trial period with the team and will now become the team's full-time coach.
NEO joined FaZe Clan in July 2023 and during this time, he participated in 5 championships with the team. He also helped the team begin its era in Counter-Strike 2.
As mentioned earlier, Filip participated in 6 championships with FaZe Clan, and they secured the first place in three of them:
- Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 (1 place)
- CS Asia Championships 2023 (1 place)
- Thunderpick World Championship 2023 (1 place)
- ESL Pro League Season 18 (9-12 place)
- Gamers8 2023 (9-12 place)
- Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023 (9-12 place)
Here is how FaZe Clan welcomed their new permanent coach:
"After three consecutive tournament victories, we decided it was time to drop the word 'temporary' from his title. We have officially signed NEO as the Head Coach of FaZe Clan in Counter-Strike!"
It's worth noting that this is not NEO's first involvement with FaZe – he was previously on a trial period with the team in 2019, but as a captain. During that time, the Polish player stayed with the organization for only four months, failing to achieve sufficiently good results and underperforming at the Berlin major. Later that year, coldzera and broky were signed to replace him and GuardiaN.
