Officially: jabbi and stavn have joined Astralis

The Danish organization Astralis has announced the transfer of Jacob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund to their Counter-Strike 2 roster. Both players moved from the Heroic team.

The Danes spent quite some time in the Norwegian organization: jabbi joined Heroic in June 2022, and stavn was part of the team since the beginning of 2019. The newcomers replaced Christian "Buzz" Andersen and Johannes "b0RUP" Borup in the Astralis roster, who were moved to the bench.

The transfer of jabbi and stavn was quite scandalous because, according to Heroic's statement, these players initiated the removal of the team's captain, Casper "cadiaN" Meller, refusing to sign new contracts if cadiaN stayed on the team. After the captain left Heroic, jabbi and stavn reneged on their promises, rejected new offers, and expressed their desire to join Astralis.

The players themselves do not hide their joy at joining the Danish organization and have already commented on their transfer.

stavn: The past few months have been been very turbulent and uncertain, so I am thrilled to have my future in CS2 secured with Astralis.

jabbi: The past month or so has been very tumultuous, but I'm happy that my future is now settled. I can't wait to start this new adventure in Astralis with Martin and all of my new teammates, coaches and support staff!
