Officially: Anubis Has Replaced Dust2 In the Active Map Pool

On the night of November 19, Valve released an update for CS:GO, in which it made changes to the active map pool, the AWP sniper rifle, and the M4A1-S. The following information appeared in the official blog of the game.

List of changes:

  • Anubis map replaced Dust2 in the active map pool.
  • The number of bullets in the AWP's magazine has been reduced to five.
  • The M4A1-S deals less damage at long ranges.

The Anubis location first appeared in CS:GO on March 31, 2020. An hour later, the map was removed from the game. Earlier, the developers released a patch in which Anubis was significantly updated.

Dust2 was returned to CS:GO after a rework in October 2017. In April 2018, the map was added to the active map pool, replaced Cobblestone, and stayed there for two and a half years. Dust2 became the most undemanding location at IEM Rio Major 2022. Developers noted that the Dust2 map is still available in such modes as Casual, Deathmatch and Competitive.
