At NIP, adventures continue as the team will play Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 with a substitute. Max "maxster" Jansson will miss this tournament due to unforeseen health circumstances.
He will be replaced by academy player Jacob "jocab" Nerheden, who joined the academy roster on January 6th. This substitution is for just one tournament, so fans shouldn't be too disheartened.
Who is jocab?
Jacob "jocab" Nerheden is a 19-year-old talent signed by the NIP academy on January 6th. During this time, he played 111 maps for them, with an average rating of 6.2, which is quite decent.
He helped the team reach the semifinals at the RES Regional Series 1 Europe and Thunderpick World Championship 2024 EU Closed Qualifier 2. jocab has also played for the main squad in the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 13, where the team lost to ECSTATIC with a score of 0-2.
UPDATE: Due to an unforeseen health emergency, maxster will not be joining the team for #ElisaMasters Espoo 2024. Jacob "jocab" Nerheden will be stepping in for his second showing with the main team and his first LAN with the squad.

Debut under MisteM's leadership postponed
This tournament was supposed to be the first opportunity to see NiP under the leadership of Gareth "MisteM" Ries, recently promoted from the academy in place of Alejandro "alex" Masanet. However, due to the unforeseen substitution, the full lineup will debut only at RMR. The question now is whether the team can quickly adapt to the new lineup with jocab.
Group stage and opening match against B8
NiP finds themselves in group A at Elisa Masters Espoo alongside The MongolZ, B8, and JANO, captained by Aleksi "allu" Jalli. The first match for the Swedish team will be on October 16th at 14:00 against the Ukrainian team B8 in a BO1 format.

- Fredrik "REZ" Sterner
- Isak "isak" Fahlén
- Artem "r1nkle" Moroz
- Gareth "MisteM" Ries
- Jacob "jocab" Nerheden (stand-in)
