NiKo Launched a Personal YouTube Channel With a Vlog From IEM Katowice 2023

A player of G2 started his channel.

Rifleman of G2 Nikola NiKo Kovac registered his personal YouTube channel and published the first video.

The first video on NiKo's channel was a vlog from the first day of IEM Katowice 2023. At the time of writing, the video had over 20,000 views, and over 13,000 people subscribed to the channel.

What did NiKo show in his first video?

In addition to the message about the channel launch, the video contained other exciting content. The player showed how G2 prepares for the events, commented on the first results, and showed the tournament venue from the inside. The camera lens even caught the presentation of awards from HLTV and ESL, which NiKo did not manage to receive earlier.

An excellent addition was that not only NiKo got into the game, but also all the team members, and the Bosnian spoke with FaZe coach Robert RobbaN Dahlström, with whom NiKo worked before when he was still playing for FaZe Clan.

A new approach to media?

The vlog from the NiKo channel looked not like a personal video but like content with excellent production from the G2 organization focused on a specific player. And this is although G2 has its vlogs with a CS:GO lineup. But on the organization's channel, there is a big focus on team talk, while on NiKo's channel, there is much more IRL content.

And this is a rather interesting approach to the media, both from the player's and organization's sides, which other clubs rarely use. This is beneficial for both sides: the player generally increases his level of media, thanks to his channel with a focus on him, and the club promotes the brand thanks to the player's fans.

Probably, in the future, many organizations will use a similar approach.
