At the IEM Melbourne 2025 tournament, the matches determining the upper bracket finalists and playoffs participants, as well as elimination matches, have concluded. MOUZ and The Mongolz secured their spots in the upper bracket final, while Complexity, GamerLegion, FaZe, and 3DMAX will continue their fight in the lower bracket. Meanwhile, paiN and BIG have concluded their run in the tournament.
MOUZ vs. GamerLegion
In the battle for a spot in the upper bracket final, MOUZ faced GamerLegion. MOUZ claimed a confident victory with a 2-0 map score (Inferno 13-6; Nuke 16-13). On the first map, Inferno, MOUZ ended the first half with a slight advantage (7-5 on the defense side) and then dominated on the attack, winning 6 rounds and losing only one. On the second map, Nuke, the teams were evenly matched, finishing both halves 6-6 and heading into overtime, where MOUZ proved stronger, taking 3 rounds on defense and sealing the win after the side switch.

The Mongolz vs. FaZe
In the second upper bracket semifinal, The Mongolz unexpectedly defeated FaZe Clan with a 2-0 score (Dust II 13-8; Ancient 16-13). On Dust II, FaZe confidently won the first half (7-5) and then took the pistol round, but The Mongolz rallied and answered with a streak of 8 consecutive rounds. On Ancient, it was a close battle, and after a 6-6 scoreline in both halves, the teams went into overtime. Here, The Mongolz once again showed their resilience, taking 3 rounds on defense and clinching the match.


Complexity vs. paiN
In the elimination match, Complexity easily overcame paiN Gaming, finishing the encounter with a 2-0 score (Train 13-2; Anubis 13-6). On the first map, Train, the Americans simply crushed their opponents, winning the first half 10-2 and leaving no chance after the side switch. On Anubis, Complexity went into the break with a narrow 7-5 lead, then took 6 consecutive rounds on defense, effortlessly securing the victory.

3DMAX vs. BIG
Another elimination match between 3DMAX and BIG delivered a real thriller, ending with a 2-1 victory for the French team (Ancient 13-5; Dust II 19-16). On the first map, Ancient, 3DMAX confidently won the first half 8-4 and quickly sealed the win after the side switch. On Dust II, BIG took the first half 9-3, but the French team made a comeback, leveling the score and pushing the match into extended overtimes. After two series of overtimes, it was 3DMAX who emerged stronger and continued their journey in the tournament.
