CEO Monte named the most expensive player in the current CS2 roster

Today, Dmitry Vovk, CEO of the Ukrainian club Monte, shared various interesting things regarding the Counter Strike 2 team lineup. Among other things, he summarized the results of 2023, named the organizations that were interested in the team's players, and mentioned the nickname of the member with the highest price tag.

Results of the year for Monte

The CEO of the club is more than pleased with the team's achievements in 2023. Although the lineup lost in the first match of the major's playoffs, a top-8 finish is a very good result for a young organization, in his opinion.

"A year ago we did not set any goals, the task was simply to perform well and show some level. Now the goals are a little different, we want to win something. We want to bring a winning mood to the organization,"
said Dmitry Vovk, CEO of Monte.

Goals for 2024

For the near future, Monte does not make grandiose plans, preferring to react to the situation. Making it to the first major in CS2 is not something practically guaranteed for the management.

"The main goal for the major is to get there. After the RMR, we will see what form we are in and can set ourselves goals. Of course, we want to win the major, but we need to at least get there,"
said Dmitry Vovk, CEO.

Interest in team players from other organizations

In a conversation with a journalist from Players, Dmitry confirmed that there was some interest from Fnatic in kRaSnaL, but he could not confirm the same for sdyENCE, on the other hand, went further, wanting to buy out the core of the team, but no movements ultimately happened there.

"It [discussions of the buyout price] didn't even get to that point. The offer didn't even reach me. First, the organization is interested in the players, whether they are interested in the transfer, to then go to the management and offer some price for the players. It just didn't get to that, because I understand that the guys didn't agree, the guys weren't interested, some other problems arose. So it didn't even get to that,"
said Dmitry Vovk, CEO.

Who among Monte players has the highest buyout

The CEO stated that the club is not interested in selling players, as it would mean the end of all the fruits of painstaking work. As for BOROS who left, he was sold for less than $200,000. After the departure of the Jordanian, the buyout of each of the current players was raised. The exact amount was not disclosed by the Monte boss, but he hinted that it is less than $500,000. The most expensive member of the lineup is Woro2k.
