The maximum online in CS2 reached 874 thousand players. Such a level of online was last recorded in mid-July 2022, back in the CS:GO version. Over the past one and a half years, except for rare cases, the maximum number of players in the shooter did not drop below a million.

However, after a decrease in audience interest in the shooter, the top spot in online gaming was taken by the game Palworld—a survival project with elements of Pokémon. On January 22, its peak online exceeded 1.5 million people. The top three most popular games on Steam were joined by Dota 2, where up to 634 thousand gamers played simultaneously on that day.
