The captain of the 9z Team for CS:GO, Maximiliano max Gonzales, spoke about the advantages of boot camp in Europe. According to the Uruguayan esports athlete, his team has made noticeable progress thanks to training with teams playing in various styles.

Practicing in Europe is nice because you get to play against so many different styles of Counter-Strike. In Brazil it's a bit repetitive and everyone kind of plays the same style.

max noted that 9z has made significant progress in understanding Counter-Strike over the past year.

I believe this team is as good as it has ever been. We know a lot more about the game than we did last year, and I'm sure next year we'll be even better than we are now.

The next tier-1 competition for 9z will be the ESL Pro League Season 18. The max team will debut at the tournament with a match against FaZe Clan, which will take place in group C. The match is scheduled for September 13 at 20:30 EEST. Detailed statistics of the teams before the meeting can be found here.

EPL S18 is taking place from August 30 to October 1. Teams are fighting for a prize pool of $850,000. The champion will also receive quotas for BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 and IEM Katowice 2024. The schedule and results of the tournament can be tracked at the link.
