On July 8, 2025, a new season titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps” launched on Marvel Snap, just in time for the release of the new Fantastic Four movie. Players can expect new maps, game modes, locations and visuals, inspired by the movie. This is one of the biggest thematic collaborations in gaming over the past year.

Key Season Rewards

The main Season Pass card is Mister Fantastic (First Steps). His new ability activates at the end of each turn and either reduces the cost of a random card in your hand by 1 or gives +2 Power. This adds more strategy for decks that focus on resource control.

In the premium pass, there’s a new card called Fantasticar (Series 4). It boosts all your end-of-turn effect cards by +2 Power, which works great with characters like Vision, Omega Red, or Iron Man.

New Cards and Variants

Throughout July, gamers will unlock updated versions of MCU-style characters such as Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and The Thing. These versions feature new abilities based on the movie.

• H.E.R.B.I.E. (Series 5): A flexible card with an effect that changes depending on the situation.
• Human Torch, The Thing, Invisible Woman: All get cinematic-style variants with fresh mechanics.
• Classic characters like Mole Man and Mad Thinker return with new powers to disrupt locations and challenge opponents’ strategies.

New Game Modes and Locations

Starting July 24 to August 7, a special temporary mode called Grand Arena will be live. Players choose one hero and use pre-built decks with unique powers. This mode lets players try different strategies without worrying about ranked matches.

The High Voltage mode also returns from July 17 to 21, featuring new quests, cosmetic rewards, and bonus XP.

New featured locations include:

• Rocket Pad: At the end of Turn 4, the player in the lead gets +3 Power here.
• Reed’s Lab: Gives +1 Energy each turn if the location is full.

Cosmetics, Twitch Drops & Store Updates

Two new cosmetic albums will be released this season:

• Walk it, Talk it, Pocket — from July 15
• Mafayon’s Masterpieces — from July 29, includes extra tokens and premium variants

During the Twitch Drops event (July 24 – August 1), viewers can earn rewards by watching livestreams:

• 2 hours — boosters
• 4 hours — premium frame
• 6 hours — premium card variant

The in-game store will also have two special takeovers with new cosmetics:

• July 15–16 — collectible stickers
• July 29–30 — cinematic variants

The update is perfectly timed with the release of the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie on July 25. It brings new visuals, mechanics, and a stronger connection between the game and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
