M80 player Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen will go inactive for the next two tournaments. The club said in a statement that PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: American RMR and IEM Katowice 2024 will be played with a substitute.

The squad will play the next two tournaments with coach Rory "dephh" Jackson as stand-in. dephh has already had the opportunity to be a M80 player at ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023 - that time he was also replacing maNkz, who had visa issues.

The North American organization did not officially disclose the reason for Marcus missing the events, but dephh said in a comment for Dust2.us that the player took such a decision for "personal reasons".

It is also not known for sure if the cyber athlete will return to the roster at the end of the two upcoming championships, or if his status as a replacement player will be more permanent.

Whatever the case, the first match for M80 at IEM Katowice 2024 will take place on January 31 against GamerLegion at 18:30. At the championship, the team will start from the Play-In stage.
