M80 have signed 19-year-old Mason "Lake" Sanderson. He joins the team to replace Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa, who moved to G2. M80 Vice President of Cybersports Donald "SyykoNT" Muir said that this is a unique opportunity for a young riffler who will play in Europe under the European IGL and compete against the best teams in the world.
According to Dust2.us, dephh, the team's head coach, believes in Lake's ability to develop into the next great North American player. Although Lake remains unknown on the international scene, he has managed to attract attention in his region, playing for Carpe Diem since January. In 28 maps, he has posted a 6.8 rating and an ADR of 93.5, which he is just behind malbsMd's performance in the ESL Challenger League.

The lineup is as follows:
The signing of Lake allows M80 to maintain the status of a team consisting mainly of Americans, which is important for participation in Shanghai Major RMR. The team is focusing on developing new talent rather than looking for transfers from other organizations. This decision is in line with their original goal of finding and developing talent in the region in a European system.
Head coach Rory "dephh" Jackson emphasized that the team will continue to develop, including traveling to Europe to prepare for tournaments. M80 along with Lake are currently training in Katowice, Poland in preparation for the Esports World Cup.
Lake will make his debut for M80 on July 17 at the Esports World Cup in a match against Vitality. This tournament will be his trial by fire and an important milestone in his career. A meeting with one of the best teams in the world will give the young player a chance to show his abilities and prove his readiness for the high level of competition.
