M80 have signed 19-year-old Mason "Lake" Sanderson. He joins the team to replace Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa, who moved to G2. M80 Vice President of Cybersports Donald "SyykoNT" Muir said that this is a unique opportunity for a young riffler who will play in Europe under the European IGL and compete against the best teams in the world.

According to Dust2.us, dephh, the team's head coach, believes in Lake's ability to develop into the next great North American player. Although Lake remains unknown on the international scene, he has managed to attract attention in his region, playing for Carpe Diem since January. In 28 maps, he has posted a 6.8 rating and an ADR of 93.5, which he is just behind malbsMd's performance in the ESL Challenger League.
