G2 Esports' sniper, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, has expressed frustration as Valve rejects his sticker design for the second time ahead of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for CS2. On his personal Telegram channel, m0NESY vowed to unveil the sticker concept that failed to win over the developers, voicing bewilderment at the rejection of such a simple design.
Two times they didn't approve the sticker on Major, people there are crazy or something. Okay, third time I hope they'll accept it 😂. It's just weird that such a simple sticker is not accepted, I'll show you later.
Valve has previously issued guidelines to RMR participants for creating personal sticker concepts for the Counter-Strike 2 Major. The developer's decision has stirred up controversy as m0NESY joins the ranks of other esports athletes like Boombl4 and HObbit, whose autograph submissions have also been turned down.
Valve's new sticker design guidelines underscore the need for simplicity and clarity, allowing designs to range from minimalistic to humorous or even slightly personal but steering clear of complexity or ornateness. Furthermore, the company specified that autographs must be handwritten by the players themselves, ideally not taking more than 5-10 seconds to complete.
