Lynn Vision has made history by qualifying for a CS 2 Major, the first Chinese team to do so since PGL Major Stockholm in 2021. Despite a setback against TheMongolz, Lynn Vision secured their spot at the PGL Major Copenhagen with a decisive win over Grayhound.
In the interview for HLTV, Sike "z4kr" Zhang, shared his team's unexpected journey to success:
We didn’t actually imagine qualifying for the Major. But we tried and worked so hard, we even skipped the Chinese New Year to prepare for the RMR
The intense preparation paid off, especially in their match against Grayhound:
We’re used to Grayhound, we practiced with them many times. We actually had confidence to beat them
Representing China on such a massive stage is both an honor and a heavy responsibility for z4kr and his team:
I don’t think we can be the representative of the entire Chinese community, but it’s still an honor for us.
The journey was not just a professional milestone but an emotional rollercoaster:
Yes, a lot of emotions! It went up and down. We needed to control the emotions, and we couldn’t focus in the game because of that
Looking forward, z4kr remains grounded yet hopeful:
It still feels like a dream that I entered the Major, I cannot believe it. So I can’t say that we’ll shock the world or something, we’ll just try our best to be our best.
With the Major in Copenhagen as a stepping stone, Lynn Vision now sets their sights on performing for their home crowd in the upcoming Shanghai Major, aiming to make their mark on the global stage.
