The longest time on the bench: Olofmeister and Other CS2 Players with Record Periods Without Playing

The Swedish legendary player Olof "olofmeister" Gustafsson has set a dubious record in the Counter-Strike 2 world by being on the bench the longest among all professional players, reaching the mark of 911 days. The data was published on the Twitter page of statsmeister, which also features other top players with the longest bench time.

Among these players are Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, each of whom has spent 134 days on the bench. Ukrainian player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev is in fifth place with 105 days.

Recently, Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, the captain of the G2 team, also hit the bench, leaving the team just a day after the team decided to make a roster change. This decision obviously became an impetus for the team to look for new ways and strategies in its further development.

Interestingly, the list includes players from different countries and teams, demonstrating the diversity and global nature of the CS2 elite. It is worth noting that being on the bench does not always mean the end of a career, as many of these players will soon return to active play or will take key roles in their new teams.
