Anubis appeared in the first BLAST match.
Liquid beat Outsiders in the opening match of BLAST Premier World Final 2022. The teams played on Anubis.
First Anubis Match On Tier-1 Scene
Unfortunately, it happened what everyone feared. Anubis needed more time to be ready for the tier-1 scene. The map is still too raw, as the pro players talked about before the tournament.
We play Anubis. IT looks good, but it is still raw.
In the first half, it became clear that CT is much easier to play on Anubis. Liquid took their rounds without any problems. Outsiders were pinned down without any map control. However, the major champions were able to fight back and ended the half with a score of 6-9. To destroy them in the second half. Liquid was much more prepared for the attack and, despite its apparent weakness on this map, won 7 rounds in the second half.
It was also noticed that most of the action takes place at point B because this is the only point that T can enter from two directions.
Of course, the players encountered collision bugs they did not have time to fix before the year's final tournament. Here is one of them.
What About Outsiders?
The Major champions ultimately failed their first match at BLAST Premier World Final 2022. If Outsiders still performed well on Inferno, they completely fall apart on the following two maps.
At the same time, the reason for the Outsiders' triumph on Inferno is straightforward - the feeble game of Mareks YEKINDAR Galinskys on this map. The player failed to control the banana, which caused the Outsiders to win many rounds. However, the playmaker got involved and didn't leave a chance for the opponents.
Outsiders have no game now, and the team may leave the tournament after the next match. The team has one chance left in the lower bracket. They will face the loser of the FaZe vs. G2 pair.
What's Next on BLAST?
The FaZe vs. G2 match is going on right now. With the conclusion of this match, Group A at BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will be completed, and Liquid and Outsiders will know the names of their opponents.
