This loss was the first for Vitality in the past three months. Prior to this, the team had won 30 matches in a row, including six titles. Now, Vitality continues the Swiss system with a 0–1 record.

After the match, Vitality's captain, apEX, gave a brief comment regarding the game and this loss:

The winning streak isn't as important. What concerns me more is how we played. They had good rounds, often killing us through smoke. It's part of CS, isn't it? I'm a bit disappointed because we didn't show our best. We have another BO1 ahead, and I don't want us to go 0–2 — we know the pressure there.
