CS:GO is an extremely versatile and customizable game that each player can customize for themselves. In addition to simple in-game settings, users also have console commands, which can be used to bind any action to one button. But that's not all, because you have launch parameters.

What are launch options?

Launch parameters are a special type of settings that change individual parameters of the game during startup. There are a huge number of them, but how do you open the launch parameters?

It's simple - find Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in your library, click on it with PCM > "Properties", the lowest line in "General", and there are startup options.

Basic startup options

• -novid - disable the intro video at startup
• -high - start CS:GO with high priority, will improve game performance
  
• -console - enable console (it can be enabled through the game settings)
  
• +fps_max 0 - disable frames per second limit
  
• -tickrate 128 - set server refresh rate (only for your own servers and playing with friends)
  

But with the command +fps_max 0 if an interesting thing. On some systems becomes more FPS when this command to write so "+fps_max -", here it is already worth just to test. . 

These parameters are absolutely necessary for every player in CS:GO. In addition, it is worth considering the other startup parameters, which can also be useful.

• -threads «число» - the number of CPU threads involved in the game

• +cl_cmdrate 128 - maximum number of packets that are sent to the server per second
  
• +cl_updaterate 128 - maximum number of packets sent to the server per second
  
• +ex_interpratio 1 - network parameter interpolation interval
  
• -noforcemaccel - disable all types of mouse acceleration
  
• -noforcemparms - uses Windows mouse button settings
  
• +cl_forcepreload 1 - preload textures and models
  
• +rate 128000 - maximum amount of data accepted by the host
  

And also if you do not have a normal 60Hz monitor you can request the system to use the maximum number of hertz of your monitor through the startup parameters. This is done with the command -freq X (X = your hertz (60, 144, 240, 360).

If you are experiencing FPS problems, in addition to the first list of parameters, you can use -threads with a number depending on the number of threads of your CPU. Mandatory startup parameters:

-novid -high -console +fps_max (0/-) -tickrate 128 -threads 4 +cl_cmdrate 128 +cl_updaterate 128 +ex_interpratio 1 -noforcemaccel
